How To Join MBC

All members are responsible for a $15.00 nonrefundable, initial investment due before placing the first order.

At a member's first order (s)he will be required to pay 50% of the cost of the total ordered on the day the order is made.

New members should submit their name, phone number, email address, and mailing address with nine digit zip code to the General Coordinator.

Price book subscriptions will be submitted to United Natural Foods by our general coordinator as soon as possible, however, there may be some delay before you receive price books by postal mail. Existing members will make every effort to share a price book with you so you can view one for your first order. Members pay their price book subscriptions annually.

Prior to your first order you will receive an email containing a link, your username, and your password to the online web ordering system.

We have a Yahoo group to facilitate communication between members at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/mexicobuyingclub/

How To Order

One week prior to your order being due to the MBC Order Compiler, you will receive an e-mail from our Yahoo Group alerting you to the date your order is due.

How To Use The Pricelist

Before or on the date your order is due to the Order Compiler, visit the online web ordering system and log in using your user name (email address) and your password. Then enter your desired products in your basket. The Mexico Buying Club Order Compiler will submit (commit) the groups order.

If you have a raincheck for a specially priced item not received on your last order, please send product #, product description, and special price in a message to the order compiler using the message board available on the online web ordering site. Send the message to "WEB ORDERING SURPLUS & RAINCHECK INFO"

After the group order has been invoiced, your invoice will be available to you on the web ordering site. At pickup you will receive a copy of your member account showing the invoice amount and any credits or amounts due to your account. Please pay the amount listed as the BALANCE on your member account.

For more details, including how to split cases with other members, see the web ordering manual for members.

How To Pick Up Your Order

Two weeks after you submit your order you will attend Pick Up. Members work to unload the truck and sort the order and payment is made to the Treasurer for your order.

Mexico Buying Club will accept only checks or money orders. We will not accept cash or food stamps.

All members who ordered in a given month are responsible for breakdown and distribution of orders. When a person is unable to work, (s)he must communicate with someone on the Board of Directors if (s)he is unable to find a replacement worker. Compassion and understanding will be exercised, however, sharing the work is key to a successful cooperative buying club.
